Tech Trainee Programme

General requirements for SEB’s Tech Trainee Programme:

• You have completed an academic degree in a relevant field when you start the programme or have completed a two-year vocational education in IT or tech. It should not have been more than two years since you graduated.
• You can communicate fluently in English, both spoken and written.
• Previous experience (work, life abroad etc.) and involvement during your studies are advantageous but what matters most is your potential and passion.

The structure of the Tech Trainee Programme is designed to give you a strong start in your tech career. It combines 50% on-the-job experience and 50% training, collaboration and networking.

On-the-job practice

You will step into a full-time tech role from day one, contributing to meaningful projects within your department. The work is designed to be both interesting and challenging, giving you hands-on experience and exposure to real impact. You’ll receive support through knowledge sharing, guidance from experienced colleagues, and opportunities for professional development to help you grow as a tech specialist.

Training and collaboration

You will be part of a cohort of around 20 participants and connect with SEB’s global tech community. Through activities like team-building, Tech Tracks, divisional days, site visits, and a business challenge, you’ll build strong relationships and gain broad exposure to SEB’s tech landscape. Job shadowing and cross-functional collaboration will help you expand your network and perspective.

You’ll also take part in structured learning focused on leadership and personal development and self-drive certain programme activities to customize your learning experience and make the most of your development journey.
