Vattenfall, one of Europe's leading energy companies has approximately 19 000 employees who are working towards our common goal. As an international trainee you will get a great opportunity to get to know our company and further develop yourself. Every year we offer 30 unique positions with specific requirements on academic background or experience which will be detailed in the vacancy.
The programme is structured to help you really get to know our business, yourself and where your career could take you. From day one, you’ll also benefit from a strong and supportive network of colleagues on the programme and beyond. During the programme you will have a change to participate to different activities such as seminar weeks, assignments, hackathons and individual coaching which are aiming to develop you personally and careerwise. After the programme you will have gained information, tools and connections within Vattenfall which will be at great help later on in your career.
In the first four months of the programme you are focused on the business area you are assigned to, thought you will have some trainee activities such as seminar weeks already during these months. Between January and April you then carry out two assignments, each of between 4-8 weeks, and you can choose where you want to go in the business with at least one assignment abroad. The assignments, with all accommodation and travel paid for, are an opportunity to broaden your experience and take a deep-dive into an area that interests you.
When the programme finishes, you’ll return to your business area on a full-time, unlimited contract. You might choose to continue in your position or explore new challenges within the company. The knowledge gained during the programme and the extensive network developed throughout the company means you’ll be ideally placed to know where your talents and interests could take you.
