Tech Programme

SEB is one of the largest employers in IT and tech in the Nordic region and has been selected as the Career Company of the Year by Young Professionals in IT!

To meet the needs of our customers and a constantly changing market, we need to deliver IT solutions beyond the ordinary. These challenges lead to many exciting career paths and opportunities in IT and technology. Our Tech programme is one of them!

About the programme

SEB is a large international company with more than 15,500 employees worldwide. 2,500 of these work in the Technology division, and there are approximately 1,500 technology-related roles in other parts of the bank. Together, they form an agile organization with the common goal of creating products and services that simplify and improve the daily lives of our customers and employees.

The Tech organization has been tasked with being a driving force in shaping the future of the bank by contributing technical expertise and innovation. In addition to ensuring that the bank's systems are always available, reliable, and future-proof, the Tech organization also serves as the bank's research and development department, exploring how value can be created for customers using new technologies such as AI, machine learning, and data analysis. SEB's Tech and IT-related services are currently located in 14 countries, with the majority based in Sweden and Lithuania.

Our Tech programme is designed to provide you with a broad introduction to working in a large and complex international organization while kickstarting your career as a Tech specialist. The programme accommodates approximately 20 participants, all of whom are offered a specific job role, either in Sweden or internationally.

The programme starts in September each year and lasts for six months. Right from the beginning, you will be employed in a specific role where you will receive support and inspiration to grow and develop into a future IT specialist.

The programme primarily consists of two parts, with time allocated to work in your department in the role you were recruited for, as well as education, learning, and networking activities.

Education and Collaboration

Throughout the programme, you will participate in educational activities, including courses in areas such as self-leadership, communication, and collaboration. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, listen to inspiring speakers, be part of hackathons, a business challenge, Google Cloud days, and much more.

Collaboration, responsibility, and positive impact are key competencies to develop during the programme. During your months in the Tech programme, you will have many opportunities to collaborate with others from the Tech and trainee programmes, as well as other colleagues in the bank. You will take personal responsibility and drive collaborative activities, as well as participate in real business challenges and find solutions together with your colleagues. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to and influence our culture, values, and way of working.

SEB's Tech programme is a unique development opportunity and a way for you to build a network and work on exciting and meaningful Tech projects. We hope you want to be one of us!
