Development Program for Young Professionals
Global Manufacturing (GM), a division within Volvo Trucks, is responsible for the production and delivery of trucks manufactured at our 18 plants worldwide.
The organisations within GM that will be a part of the Development program for young professionals are divided in Cab Manufacturing Plant in Umeå (Sweden), Truck Assembly Plant in Gothenburg (Sweden), Truck Assembly Plant in Ghent (Belgium) and Truck Assembly Plant in Kaluga (Russia). Outside Europe the program will include Volvo de Brazil that is based in Curitiba and manufactures trucks for South America and our plant in Brisbane (Australia), which manufactures trucks primarily for the Australian market. There are also two supporting process organisations within the GM organisation that will take part of this program; Global Manufacturing Engineering (GME) and Global Manufacturing Logistics (GML).

Content of Development Program:
The 12 month program offers a range of opportunities for professional and personal growth. The participants will work closely with experienced Volvo-professionals in consecutive assignments at different parts of the plant. Hands-on experience is combined with insight into the company’s strategic processes.
The Young Professional program contains different blocks combining common and individual segments such as:
Internships at our production sites, including meetings with the top management team as well as international networking possibilities
• In depth knowledge of the Volvo organisation, values, culture, products production philosophy and customers.
• Personal development - in areas such as teambuilding, communication skills, Volvo leadership competencies

Cab Manufacturing Plant in Umeå (Sweden)
Truck Assembly Plant in Gothenburg (Sweden)
Truck Assembly Plant in Ghent (Belgium)
Truck Assembly Plant in Kaluga (Russia)
Truck Assembly Plant in Brisbane (Australia)

Candidate Requirements:
• Master of Science in Engineering or Business Control.
• Desire and energy to continuously improve.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
• Ability to handle challenges in a courageous way.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to network/team work.
• Sound knowledge of written and spoken English and preferably the local language at the site you seek (Swedish, Flemish, Portuguese or Russian).
• Prepared to move within our global organization.
